2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is…not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
As in any age since the fall of man, many do not believe the devil exists or that he is real. The devil is not just an imaginary figure. He is real and he does exist!
He is known by many names, some of which are: Satan, the devil, the father of lies, the deceiver, Lucifer, the serpent, etc., etc. If you dare to know, read Genesis Chapter 3 and the Book of Job which will give you a glimpse of the reality and the existence of the evil one.
Do you not know if you are not for Christ, you are for the devil!!
There is no gray area…no in between – either you choose Christ or the devil.
I know, I know, there are those who believe they are good people because they are doing so-called ‘good deeds’ towards humanity, which is great, and we all should do such. But those ‘good deeds’ will not save you from eternal damnation; they will not secure your salvation; or give you a heavenly hope, only the blood of Jesus can do this. Your ‘best good deed’ on your best day is like filthiness before God.
Did you know that? I bet you didn’t! Christ is not interested in your good deeds. He’s interested in the condition of your heart. When the heart is deemed right by the Creator, then, the good works will follow. See how that works?
The devil is the master of deception and he has deceived those who do not believe that he is real. That is the deception!! He is also a liar, and the father of lies. He is not a physical being with two red horns and a pitch fork as depicted in the movies; he is a devious spiritual being whose agenda is to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10).
To whom ever you obey, you are the slave/servant to that person (Romans 6:16).
To the perishing, the cross is foolishness. Why? Because the gospel is veiled (hidden) by the god of this age (the devil), who has blinded your minds so you do not believe (2 Corinthians 4:3). He is afraid that if the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ shines in your heart, he will no longer own you (2 Corinthians 4:4). Light and darkness cannot walk together….. (2 Corinthians 6:14).
Fools mock at sin…and give place to the devil says the Author of Proverbs 14:9… with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, (are perishing) because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved (Ephesians 4:27).
My friends, the prophet Isaiah says in Chapter 59:1: Behold, the Lord’s Hand is not shortened that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy that it cannot hear, (vs.2) but your iniquities have separated you from God.
No sin is too big or too horrible for God to forgive. The precious spilled blood of Christ can cleanse the vilest of men…
He forgave the chief of sinners, the apostle Paul, who persecuted the church of Christ; he forgave David, who was a murderer; he forgave Abraham, who lied concerning his relationship to Sarah; He forgave Moses, who murdered an Egyptian slave, and that’s only to name a very few…what have you done that He won’t forgive? You only have to ask! Jesus said to His disciples: “Ask, and it will be given…” (Matthew 7:7a)…“For everyone who asks receives…” (Matthew 7:8).
Christ came to give life and give it more abundantly…to all who believe (John 10:10b).
God the Father, loved us (mankind) so very much, that He sent His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ) to be a ransom payment (purchase back from the devil) for all sinners- of whom we all were at one time, so that all who believe that He gave His life on the Cross shall not perish (die in a sinful state for all eternity- in the fiery furnace made for the devil and his angels), but have everlasting life with Him in the heavenly places in Christ. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2: 12-13; Ephesians 1: 3).
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (Proverbs 14:12)
Don’t choose the way to death, choose life in Christ.
It is not too late, my friends, to say ‘yes’ to Christ and ‘no’ to the devil!
It’s as simple as saying to God the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ:
I am tired of living according to the world’s standards. I have tried everything possible to fill the void I feel in my life, the emptiness that nothing seems to fill-up. I am asking you Lord please forgive me of all my sins. I believe that Jesus is the Son of the Living God, I believe that He died for my sins, He was buried and that You raised Him on the third day (resurrection day). (1 Corinthians 15: 3-4) I want to make Him the Savior of my soul and the Lord of my life. Amen!
If you have taken this leap of faith, you are now a child of the Living God and a member of the family of the Church, the Body of Christ. Praise and glory to God!
|Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation, for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Geek.|
