Topic: “Saved From Hell” Revelation 20:13-15

Speaker: Pastor Kevin Sadler

What is being saved? Define “Saved”

Saved and Salvation, is being rescued from a real place – Hell.  Saved from what? – From the eternal torment in the lake of fire.

We are to have a burden for those who aren’t saved from hell and a gratitude that we are.

Death in verse 13 speaks of the grave.

  • Death Statistics for people:
  1. Every day: 150,000 people die
  2. Every month: 45 million people die
  3. Every year: 55 million people die

What reality do they find beyond the grave?

Hades/hell – temporary holding place for unbelievers-unsaved men’s souls go – in the center of the earth.

Verse 14 – death and hates are cast into the lake of fire because there will no longer be a physical death. All unsaved will be in the lake of fire.

  • The two deaths:

1st death = physical

2nd death = soul – eternal separation from God into the Lake of Fire.

Verse 15 – Who was not found in the book of life he was cast into the lake of fire…both body and soul.

There are only two destinations:
Heaven or Hell.

2 Thessalonians 1:8, 9

Genesis 4:13, 14 – the horror of separation from the Lord is seen in the life of Cain

Revelations 21:8 – The lost in hell will spend eternity among the wicked…for all eternity,,, among demons. Hell is insufferable punishment. There is no way out no escape route; no exists.

Revelation 22:11

Revelation 14:11

After you die your destination is sealed. There are no do-overs!

There is no salvation in hell.  All the ways to hell are one-way streets.  There is no hope of return.  It is a “Dead End!”
